The death has taken place of that consummate showbiz biographer and film historian, Michael Freedland. A prolific and entertaining writer, his meticulously researched books are an invaluable resource for those of us immersed in the world of entertainment. He died doing what he loved – working on a story in South Dakota, where he succumbed to a heart attack. Anyone ploughing this particular furrow is indebted to him. Shalom.
